The following are guidelines for ESTIMATING the tenant’s rent amount.

Public Housing

Sample Calculation

$480 for each minor child------------------$
$400 elderly or disabled--------------------$
Equals Adjusted Annual Income-----------$
Divided by 12 months----------------------$
Multiply by 30% ----------------------------$
Equals Total Tenant Payment-------------$
LESS Utility Allowance--------------------$
Tenant rent------------------------------------$

If the Adjusted TTP is less than $50, substitute the minimum rent amount of $50.

If the Adjusted TTP is more than the Ceiling Rent, substitute the Ceiling Rent amount.
